Our Wines: Varietals - Carmenère Rosé

Our Rose is normally produced by blending different varieties but mainly Carmenere. The wine has a lovely and intense pink color with dominant notes of fresh cherry and wild strawberry flavors, combined with a very interesting and delicate touch of flowers. The mouth is clean, fresh and very well balanced due to its low alcohol and nice acidity.

Vintage: 2007

Variety:85% Carmenère

Wine making details:

All the stems of the grapes are removed. The berries are crushed and protected from the air using antioxidant sulfur dioxide and inert gas blanketing. The grapes are cooled to reduce the temperature immediately after crushing to maintain flavors and aroma and reduce the level of SO2. 70% of the must comes from grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon sitting in the tank for about 48 hours. The rest is a young Merlot pressed directly to get fresh fruit, balance and fine herbal notes. The juice clarification is by gravity at 10ºC with pectic enzymes. Cool fermentation at 12ºC using refrigerated stainless steel tanks jackets. Non malolactic fermentation.
